Who it's for
This assessment is a good fit if you, or someone you care about, recognise any of the following. It's just as useful for peace of mind as it is after a scare.
- You've had a fall, or a near-fall that shook your confidence
- You often feel unsteady on your feet
- You hold onto furniture or walls to get around the house
- You simply want peace of mind about staying independent at home
Why staying ahead of falls matters
- 1 in 3 adults over 65 has a fall each year — most happen at home.
- Falls are the leading cause of injury-related hospitalization for BC seniors.
- A short, home-based assessment can catch the small things that lead to a big fall.
- Practising in your own home builds real-world confidence faster than a clinic.

Common questions
How much does the assessment cost?
The home assessment is $180 for a 45-minute visit. There are no hidden fees and no travel charges. Most extended health plans cover physiotherapy whether it happens in a clinic or at home, and we provide a receipt for easy reimbursement.
How long does the assessment take?
About 45 minutes. A registered physiotherapist or kinesiologist comes to your home, checks your balance, walking, strength, and home safety, and leaves you with a simple written plan. There's no travel and no waiting room.
Who comes to the visit?
A licensed clinician — a registered physiotherapist or kinesiologist, depending on your needs — not a salesperson. They bring everything needed for the assessment directly to your door.
Is there any obligation to continue?
None. The visit stands on its own: an honest assessment and a clear plan you can start right away. If ongoing support would help, we'll say so. If we're not the right fit, we'll point you in the right direction.
Where do you provide home visits?
We're fully mobile across Greater Vancouver, including Vancouver, Burnaby, North Vancouver, and West Vancouver. We come to apartments, houses, and assisted-living residences.
Can I book on behalf of a parent or family member?
Yes — many of our bookings come from adult children arranging care for a parent. Just enter your own contact details and we'll coordinate a time that works for everyone.
What does the assessment cover?
Hands-on checks of balance, walking pattern, leg and core strength, and a walk-through of the home for trip hazards. You leave with a short written plan of practical next steps tailored to staying safe and independent at home.
