In-home fracture recovery physiotherapy in Vancouver — patient safely rebuilding mobility after fracture

    Why This Program Exists

The Challenge Many Face After Fracture

Whether your fracture was treated surgically or non-surgically, the early weeks at home are critical — and often the most difficult:

Pain and uncertainty about what movements are safe

Weight-bearing or range-of-motion restrictions that need careful monitoring

Fear of reinjury that limits confidence and activity

Rapid loss of strength from reduced movement

Long waits or difficulty accessing clinic-based therapy

    Our Solution

Home-Based Fracture Recovery™ brings structured, expert-guided rehabilitation directly to your home during the critical 12-week healing period — so you can recover safely, regain confidence, and return to independence.

This isn't one-size-fits-all therapy. It's a carefully designed, three-phase program that provides the right type of support at the right time as your fracture heals.

    How Your Recovery Progresses

Three carefully designed phases that evolve as you heal.

    Phase 1Weeks 0–4

    Early Recovery & Protection

    Safety, healing, and building confidence

The first 4 weeks are the most critical. Your Physiotherapist will:

    • Help you understand your specific restrictions
    • Teach you safe ways to move, transfer, and walk
    • Manage pain and swelling
    • Provide daily exercises you can do at home
    • Reassure you about what's normal vs concerning

This phase is about protecting your healing tissue while preventing fear and deconditioning.

    Phase 2Weeks 4–10

    Functional Reconditioning

    Rebuilding strength and endurance

As your fracture heals, your Kinesiologist helps you:

    • Progressively increase strength and activity
    • Improve walking tolerance
    • Return to household and community tasks
    • Build endurance without overdoing it

This phase is about steady, monitored progression.

    Phase 3Weeks 10–12

    Confidence & Independence

    Final support and transition

    Your Rehab Assistant provides:

    • Continued practice and reinforcement
    • Confidence building for independent activity
    • Monitoring for any late-stage concerns
    • Support transitioning out of formal care

This phase ensures you're ready to continue safely on your own.
